Wapahani placed first at the Mid-Eastern Conference Invitational with 50 points, followed by Daleville (57), Monroe Central (68), Blue River (74), Cowan (89), Randolph Southern (175), Wes-Del (196) and Union. David Dillon of the Broncos was the overall winner, finishing with a time of 17 minutes, 11 seconds. The Raiders’ Alex Herbst earned second place with a time of 17:17.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Randolph Southern won the Mid-Eastern Conference meet with 27 points, followed by Wapahani (75), Cowan (83), Wes-Del (87), Blue River (107), Daleville (118) and Monroe Central. The Raiders’ Haylee Cooper finished first with a time of 21:59. Kyleigh Blackmer earned second place for the Warriors, running a time of 22:11.
BOYS SOCCER
Heritage Hall shut out Kings Academy 8-0, taking the team to 10-1. Brayden Karnes had three goals, while Skyler Posey put up three assists.
VOLLEYBALL
Despite a first-set win, Heritage Hall fell to the Indianapolis Silver Lightning 13-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-11. Carly Shaver covered the Patriots’ backcourt with 39 digs, followed by Amber Taylor with 15. Julia Keating had the Patriots’ three blocks.
Jay County defeated Woodlan 25-20, 25-10 at the Allen County Athletic Conference Invitational. The Patriots’ Abby Barcus recorded 10 kills while Elizabeth Schoenlein added four kills and 23 assists.
Wapahani defeated Winchester 3-0 (25-16, 25-7, 25-11) on Monday. Kira Robinson put up four kills for the Golden Falcons while Morgan Friend and Rachel Brumfield each recorded an ace.
