Wes-Del picked up four consecutive wins to claim the crown at the Noblesville Invitational volleyball tournament on Saturday. It picked up wins against Plainfield, Frankfort and Huntington North to advance to the title game, then defeated Jay County 25-19, 25-15 to win the title.

“It’s a good day, because if we come out on top, it means that we’ve managed ourselves well through the day,” Wes-Del coach Biff Wilson said.

Alysa Sutton showcased her versatility for the Warriors (ranked No. 1 in Class A coaches poll and No. 3 in media poll), finishing the day with 37 kills, 18 aces and 29 digs.

“When she’s solid and everybody else is solid, we have the potential to be a really good team,” Wilson said. “And today we saw that.”
